We were out for a walk early in the day and came across these stunning dew drops on wild strawberry leaves. I love the way a single drop of dew rests on each point of the serrated leaf.
It’s as if the dew drops were individually placed by the Creator. God decorates the world with so much beauty each day if we’re paying attention or not.
I think God is pleased when we learn to pay attention to the world He has made for us, just as we are pleased if someone notices the details of a meal we’ve lovingly prepared or a guest room we’ve arranged with special touches.
“We learn to praise God not by paying compliments but by paying attention. Watch how the trees exult when the wind is in them. Mark the utter stillness of the great blue heron in the swamp. Listen to the sound of the rain. Learn how to say ‘Hallelujah’ from the ones who say it right.” -Frederick Buechner (Wishful Thinking)
Exquisite dew drops are only one of the many wonders you can find in creation. What can you find today?
