The Gospel Story Hymnal was created by Lindsey and Britta, two moms who have a passion for children to understand and be in awe of the gospel. Together, they wrote and illustrated a beautiful hymnal to do just that. The hymnal follows the gospel story as it teaches the history and theology behind many of our beloved hymns.
I am so excited for this amazing resource to share the hymns with our children. This would be great to use in family devotions or as part of your homeschool. What a beautiful way to preach the gospel to yourself and teach your children to do the same! The hymns of our faith are rich in the kind of truths that we need to anchor our souls.

Because the book presents the hymns according to the church calendar, it would also be helpful for focusing on the true meaning of holidays like Christmas and Easter.
The website says this about the hymnal. “Over 150 well-known hymns are woven into a thoughtful retelling of the story of scripture, and accompanied by bright illustrations and child-friendly notes on scriptural themes, theological concepts, and ideas for living out the faith.”
The book also contains a three-year plan for family or personal worship. Each week includes a hymn, scripture passage, and a suggested theme to consider.
