Description
What’s included?
There are four different activities. Each activity includes a parts of speech worksheet, an answer key, a color-by-number drawing, and a completed color-by-number picture so that you can see what the finished product should look like.
Four different poems are included.
⭐The Arrow and the Song (Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)
⭐ The Road Not Taken (Robert Frost)
⭐The Bells (Edgar Allen Poe)
⭐The Ship that Sails (Anonymous)
Please be aware of the fact that some of the parts of speech that need to be labeled are more difficult than the average parts of speech worksheets. Adjectives include determiners, past participles, and possessive adjectives.
How does it work?
Students circle the correct answer (or, in some cases, write the correct answer). Then they color the corresponding number on the color-by-number drawing with the correct color as indicated on the color key.
For example, if the answer to number 1 is “preposition,” then students will need to color all the “1’s” on the drawing orange.
The color-by-number drawing gives students a fun motivation to complete their work.

This is such a fun review activity for parts of speech! And I love that you’ve worked in classic poetry as well!
